LiftRite reducing it’s greenhouse footprint

LiftRite has just completed the installation of over 300 PV solar cells to the roof of their Canning Vale premises.  Covering a large part of the 4000 square metre workshop roof the solar cells are an impressive sight.  Perth’s brilliant weather makes it the perfect location to take advantage of solar with around 265 sunny or partly sunny days on average each year.

General Manager Martin Balcomb says this will set the company up for the future reducing power bills and environmental footprint by returning power to the grid over the next 15 to 20 years. The system is anticipated to save up to 19000 tons of Carbon Dioxide emmissions over it’s life which is assisted by continuing to feed the Perth grid even whilst the business is closed and not using power.

Installation of the system took place over several weeks with the largest part of the job being disconnecting the old transformer system. Completing the roof top installation took only a matter of days with a Manitou 180ATJ completing the working at heights duty in faultless style.
