Service Technicians Field Service

Established in 1983, LiftRite Hire & Sales is a market leader in materials handling and construction equipment. We supply and maintain Manitou, Gehl, Kalmar and Kobelco equipment for a large customer base and our own hire fleet including forklifts.

We are seeking two qualified Service Technicians to join the Service team at our premises based in Canning Vale.

The Role

As a Service Technician you will provide scheduled and preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding, diagnosis and general repairs as well as attending to breakdowns.  The role would involve a willingness to work weekends, travel at short notice and work flexible hours as required.

Essential Criteria

To be a valued member of our team, ideally you will have the following attributes;

  • Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in servicing and maintenance in materials handling or similar industry
  • Good working knowledge of hydraulics and a basic understanding of electrics
  • Ability to diagnose and fault find when assessing equipment for maintenance and repair
  • Ensuring equipment is serviced and repaired in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills, communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive approach to workplace safety
  • Honest, reliable and punctual
  • Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
  • Current ‘C ‘ class driver’s licence

Desired Criteria

The following will be highly regarded but are not essential;

  • High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF) class
  • Licence to install and repair LPG systems
  • Refrigerant handling licence

Since 1983, we have built an unrivalled reputation for the sales, rental and maintenance of new and used products by major brands. Our current range includes Manitou, Kobelco, Gehl and Kalmar.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Sales Professional to promote our range of Kobelco and Gehl earthmoving equipment.

The Role

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Promoting our Kobelco and Gehl ranges of earthmoving equipment
  • Meeting KPI’s
  • Establishing and maintaining good customer relationships
  • Preparing sales quotes and tenders
  • Preparing appropriate documentation to complete the sale

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Demonstrated sales experience with Kobelco and Gehl products or similar earthmoving equipment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivation and a positive attitude
  • Desire to succeed and a strong work ethic
  • Close attention to detail
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Computer skills

Desired Criteria

  • Technical knowledge of, or familiarity with, earthmoving equipment
