We road test the new Man’Go12

Manitou’s eagerly anticipated Man’Go12 elevated work platform is here and we’ve jumped into the driver’s seat to check it out for ourselves.

First impressions count and with the Man’Go12, it’s clear that Manitou’s design engineers have put much thought into creating a machine that is aesthetically-pleasing while meeting the lifting needs of worksites across a range of industries.

The design is a clean sheet – a new concept in the Manitou lineup which combines the benefits of articulated and telescopic platforms. The specifications are strong with a working height of almost 12 metres and a 6.69m reach, and there is provision for Manitou’s optional SafeMan system which gives operators life-saving protection from crush injuries while using the machine.

Build quality and attention to detail on the Man’Go12 will please even the fussiest owners, while welding, paint finishes and general assembly are of the same world-class standards we have come to expect of Manitou and will no doubt see this compact little workhorse last many years on any site.

Sitting at the controls, we discovered that the Man’Go12 delivers on Manitou’s promise of a quiet, smooth and user-friendly machine. We found it easy to navigate through congested and tight spaces and once collapsed, its compact chassis allowed us to easily store it.

Getting the basket to full height was quick and hassle-free, giving a speed of performance that is sure to impress the most demanding operators.
